Context

Communications infrastructure establishes how information moves throughout the environment. The project required alignment between structured cabling, backbone systems, electrical infrastructure, controls, security systems, and operational technology to ensure continuous visibility and connectivity across critical operations. Success depended on integrating communications infrastructure into the overall infrastructure strategy from the beginning rather than introducing connectivity after systems were already in place.  

Execution

SMCiS coordinated structured cabling, pathways, backbone systems, network readiness, and communications infrastructure as part of the broader infrastructure program. Connectivity systems were aligned with power, controls, security, and operational technology to create continuous visibility and reliable system-to-system communication before operations commenced. Each component was delivered as part of an integrated solution designed to improve awareness, responsiveness, and operational coordination.
